Intermittent Fasting and OMAD

You can’t do the OMAD diet without doing intermittent and I love intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating that consists of periods of fasting and periods of eating. It’s not a diet so it doesn’t have anything to do with what you eat but when you actually eat. Studies show that intermittent fasting can cause changes in hormone levels, cellular function and gene expression which lead to an increase in metabolism and weight loss.

When doing intermittent fasting, you reduce your calorie intake because you’re eating fewer meals. When you combine intermittent fasting with eating a low-calorie diet, your energy and metabolism increases. Intermittent fasting is a great tool for weight loss because when you fast the body uses fat as a fuel source.

You lose weight when you fast because insulin levels and glycogen stores go down when you fast so the body burns fat for fuel. This is great for anyone who wants to lose weight because intermittent fasting boosts metabolism by promoting heat production and weight loss. I feel intermittent fasting is the best way to fast when starting out on your amazing journey of wellness and optimal health.
